Crossmark is a multi-publisher initiative from Crossref that provides a standard way for readers to locate the current version of a piece of content. By applying the Crossmark button, the European Journal of Therapeutics commits to maintaining the content it publishes and to alerting readers to changes if and when they occur.

Clicking on the Crossmark button on any published article will display the current status of that document, including any corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern. For more information on Crossmark, visit: https://www.crossref.org/services/crossmark/

The Crossmark button appears on all articles published in the European Journal of Therapeutics as shown below. Readers may click this button on any article page to verify its current publication status:

Correction Policy

Honest errors are part of science and publishing. If a published article contains an error that does not affect the overall findings or conclusions, the European Journal of Therapeutics will publish a Correction (Erratum). The correction notice will be published as a separate, citable item and linked to the original article. The original article will reference the correction, and the Crossmark record will be updated accordingly.

For detailed information on our corrections and retractions procedures, please refer to our Ethics Policy — Corrections and Retractions section.

Retraction Policy

The European Journal of Therapeutics follows the COPE Retraction Guidelines in all cases of retraction. Articles may be retracted when:

  • Major errors or data integrity issues invalidate the conclusions of the work,
  • The findings have been published previously without proper attribution (duplicate publication or plagiarism),
  • The research was conducted without the necessary ethical approvals,
  • The study contains fabricated or falsified data.

A retraction notice will be published as a separate, citable item linked to the original article. The original article will remain accessible in the archive with a clear retraction notice, in accordance with best practices for the integrity of the scholarly record.

Expression of Concern

In cases where an investigation into potential misconduct is ongoing or evidence is inconclusive, the Editorial Board may publish an Expression of Concern. This does not constitute a finding of misconduct but alerts readers that the integrity of the work is under review.

Peer Review

All articles published in the European Journal of Therapeutics undergo double-blind peer review prior to acceptance. For full details, please visit our Peer Review Policy page.

Post-Publication Updates

All corrections, retractions, and expressions of concern are registered in the Crossmark system. The Crossmark button embedded in each published article allows readers to verify the current status of any content at any time — including articles downloaded as PDF prior to any update.
